Bulk edit or delete pages/files#38

A possibility to delete and/or edit multiple pages or files at the same time.

@Quentin creuzet What should be editable in bulk? Status and all fields? Or are there specific aspects?

@Nico I think the priority should be to be able to bulk edit the status, the title, the URL. But fields would be a great addition too, obviously

@Quentin creuzet Bulkd editing the title and URL seems odd to me, e.g. giving multiple pages the same URL slug isn’t allowed. And would you really want to have multiple pages with the same page title?

It depends on the interface. If you get a list of title fields for each page and you can quickly move through them, it’s quite useful.

Totally blanked on that option XD - absolutely!

It would be nice if such feature was open for field plugins to add custom actions.

Yes, having a serious issue where a client entered hundreds of items into Kirby and we have no way of easily making them ‘listed’

@A while I totally think that we need this, have you considered making those items listed with a custom PHP script as a temporary solution?

This would be great for projects with a large number of photographs for example. Being able to batch delete 20+ photographs would go a long way.

What I think would be one of the biggest benefits would be the option to delete multiple files at once. We start each project with our own StarterKit and have to manually delete the 20 or so files on the homepage each time. Or the short detour via the FTP

For our projects, it’s the field editing part that would be super helpful (and which I miss from working with a different CMS before Kirby). Setting a certain field value for a bunch of entries at once – think tags, for example, or setting a category. Changing the status is another big use case for us. Interestingly, deleting is nothing I’m desperate for, as it’s pretty easy to do this in batch on the file level. Really looking forward to this being tackled!

Here’s a screenshot of the “with selected” (or “Auswahl” in German) option in the former open-source CMS we used. I am sure this will look so much nicer in Kirby’s interface, see Bert’s mockups above ;)
