Editor: Block for multiple images (slideshow/gallery)#18

It would be super helpful to have a block type for the Editor where you can drag and upload multiple images to. This would make the editor much eaiser to use for more complex content sections, without having to use something like Builder.

To make this block useful for any project, it would be great to have an option for configuring how captions are assigned. In about half of my projects, the client wants to have one caption for all images, in the other half, the client wants to have a different caption for every image.

In the frontend, one could easily get around this by parsing and echoing only the first caption found, but it would be more helpful for editors, if that could be configured according to the project’s requirements.

Don’t we already have this with the new Blocks field?

Yes, this is already part of the new blocks field.

I’m closing this idea as the editor field is deprecated and the blocks field already supports gallery.
